Crablady4 My name is Laura, aka crablady4, aka mom!!! I pretty much grew up in different parts of Southern Ontario and have settled down with my husband and family in a little village, north of Sarnia, called Camlachie, (pronounced key, not chi). I am the mother to four wonderful (yet tiresome) boys. Evan 9, Trevor 6, Justin 4, and Warren 2. They are the center of my world! I am a registered nurse but have only worked very, very casually for the last five years while raising my children. I am sure that I will once again work full time in order to feed those four mouths. My crabbing history is pretty similar to others, in that my son wanted a pet and I thought that would be an easy to care for critter that wouldn't take up much space. you can pretty much guess the rest. Kid got bored, mom got obsessed! So much for not taking up much room, as I now maintain a 70g tat and a 15g for the tinys and micros. After the loss of my dog last year, it took me a while to admit to myself that I really don't need a new dog in the house at this time. So instead, I decided to get a gecko. Well.... they are just as addictive as hermies and I now have 9 crested geckos and 3 fat tailed geckos. I hope to add (if I'm sure it won't lead to divorce) a bearded dragon. And then, I'm afraid the house will simply be too full for anything else. My husband really isn't much of an animal person, but sadly, married a woman who loves animals and was deprived of pets while growing up. Perhaps someday, I'll convince him we need to move to a farm. |
