Re: Mealworm Brand Switch Not a Hit with the Kids

It's interesting because I believe these are also produced in the Americas but they do have a different moisture content according to the label as well as being different sizes. I wonder if it is that it's a different species.

Mealworm Brand Switch Not a Hit with the Kids

I usually feed my hermit crabs the freeze-dried mealworms that come in smaller bottles by Fluker's, but they're one of my PPs favorites and I go through a lot. A few months ago I bought a large bag of mealworms by TradeKing but they seem to like them less. I've had my father taking care of them whil...

ID HELP: Little White bugs everywhere! Edit: Also brown?

I've been away at school and now that I've returned I noticed tiny white bugs crawling all over food scraps in the sand, and the second story caddy in my tank. From what I was looking at are they food mites or springtails?? I just want to make sure my crabs aren't in any danger. They actually got on...

Thanks! Do you happen to remember the name of the person from Amazon?

Re: Transition From 1 1/2" to 2"

Yeah, I've looked at the resources page, I usually buy shells from Naples Sea Shell Co. Even on ebay it seems all the shells have 1 1/2" or smaller openings or 2" and larger openings. Finding an intermediate sized opening seems to be a challenge.

Transition From 1 1/2" to 2"

The biggest of my PPs are currently in shells with about 1 1/2" openings. I just purchased some new shells for my PPs and the next size up that I could find, were shells with about 2" openings. The new shells look incredibly large next to them. Is there anywhere to find something in between? Has any...

It might work with one, I just thought it might help keep it from popping out. :)

To rise everyone or not to rinse everyone?

I'm going to be putting a guy who ended up surface molting and loosing a couple legs through that molt, who successfully re-molted with all his appendages, back into the main tank. I've let him de-stress for the last two weeks in ISO and I want to put him back today. I usually try and rinse everyone...

What's on today's menu & recipe sharing

Nope, they're the freeze dried ones. My Es don't seem to like mealworms but my PPs love them, and my Es love grasshoppers but my PPs don't touch them!

Help-Food and Water for a one legged hermit crab

He's molted beautifully! He has all of his appendages back and even switched into the smaller shell I offered him. (Which looks like it was the perfect size :) ) He's a beautiful dark red and purple and has fully hardened. His legs may be a little thinner than they would normally be, but it's hard t...

D.I.Y. Deep Ramp Water Dishes

The water dish is about 3.5 inches tall. It is 3 inches wide by 5 inches long. I took some pictures for size comparison. My E that was in the dish is about the size of the Babylonian in the pictures, the turbo is a little smaller than some of my PPs, and I also have this extremely large turbo that w...
