All they need is saltwater made from dechlorinated freshwater and ocean/saltwater aquarium salt. They will survive!

Definitely Clibanarius vittatus. Most LFS sell premixed saltwater for saltwater aquariums. I’d start there.

Yes of course. Most of that is driftwood though. They spend most of their time picking at it. That's a weekly buildup!

I just wanted to post an update. The tank is doing well, in its own ecosystem. I've since rehomed the majority of the crannies (took a while because I only trust certain people). I'm left with about 11, three being my previous strawberries.

Aren't you worried that the mud skippers might be dangerous for your crabs or other tank inhabitants? They are naturally opportunistic predators and they do eat crustaceans as one of their natural food items.
