Re: Tank move

I was able to remove all crabs. It's been a week and they are doing great.

Re: Tank move

Quick update. I have 10 of my crabs in totes. I'm only missing 2. Now the fun part starts to have to go find them. I'm really scared I don't want to find them with gel limbs

Thank you. I've heard people use totes but I didn't think about it.

Tank move

Hi Everyone, I have a huge task ahead of me. I have a 270 gallon tank with 12 pps in it. I sold my house and bought a new one. We are moving the weekend of July 8th. What are your suggestions on preparing them for the move. Obviously the tank weighs a thousand lbs. I have an empty 55, 29 and 10 gall...

Moving tanks - how to handle heat and current molters

Hello Everyone,

I am finally moving my crabs into my 500 gal tank. The sub is in and humidity is great. I need heat though and I don't have enough to heat both. Any suggestions? There are currently 9 and I believe 4 are under.

Thank you!

Me too. Maybe try covering with more than tin foil. Tin foil never works for me because it moves to much and I couldn't tape it down because I needed to lift the lid to feed and clean.

Re: Help! Heat down to 72

Do you cover your lid? I had a 29 and two uths (large and mini). I put plastic wrap and a towel over it. I ordered my uth from petstore.com and it was much cheaper than petco.

Re: What are your crabs up to?

Oh man, the possibilities with a tank that big...mmmm. My husband, despite his protests every time I get another crab, helped me the other night while I photographed all the crabs and measured their shell openings. He's good at updating me if he sees something going on, and is extremely fond of my ...

Re: 1,020gl Crabitat

Just a quick update! I'll start moving into my new house next week. I'm still working with my uncle on getting things in order for building the crab room, which will actually be a green house but we're still working out all of the details. :D It's exciting! That's very exciting. CONGRATS. I can't w...

Re: False bottom question

Is weed blocker needed if you use plastic canvas? Doesn't really matter since I already bought it but I could take it back I guess.
