Finally adding Es to my PP tank (?)

Mindibun,Hi and welcome back! Absolutely add the E's! I have E's with Blueberries, Strawberries and PP's. Just remember that the E's need a bit higher temp in the tank and dbl chk the humidity requirements with the library we have. I love the energy of the E's! They really liven up the tank and your...

Going to try again

Hi there! I remember when you were active a while ago and I'm glad you're back. I, too, have memory issues. What a pain, right??? The good thing is that my 75gal is in the kitchen/dining room so I see it all day and night. You could always consider a calendar to note when to change waters, food, dee...

White squishy globs

Hi KittCat! Welcome to LHC! Let's look at your first concern for Pumpkin and Honey not eating too much. That's normal for crabs that were in poor conditions. They may just walk around and pick at a little of this and that. Often we see exactly what Honey is doing; walking and starting to dig. When i...

Looking for opinions on Repti-Fogger by Zoo-Med.

Ha! I've had a 75gal for my crew for a couple of years. Then being on VACA in the Outerbanks, NC, my daughter and grand kids decided to get Nonna even more crabbies! (I currently have 20) A couple of the new crew are large and the rest small and they're current;y in a 30gal. My big decision is separ...

Looking for opinions on Repti-Fogger by Zoo-Med.

Hey Crabber,I've been using the Repti Fogger for a few years now and even I have mixed reviews! You are correct that the calcium buildup is a problem; in fact exactly as you described in your post. The other issues you state I've also experienced. I've bought and returned, bought and returned, bough...

my turn to panic

Good job Laurie! For future reference, check under their food dishes, water, etc. Mine love to "go under" which sometimes makes me crazy! I have 18 or so crabbies so it's almost impossible to know who's up and who's down. I'm always glad when I see them again!

Nags Head, NC visit

Hi friends! I'm here for our week in Nagshead and have visited my favorite places for shells. I try to educate the shop owners without seeming to be snooty or overbearing and it's worked pretty well this year. I also have been highly praising our forum for all people who come in to purchase the poor...

For all you newbies and others who haven't seen it yet

Thanks Jenok! Always a great reminder to all of us that the info is archived. We should all take time now and again to search the archives just for educational reminders if nothing else!

Infected Claw

Hi, I'm sorry to hear about your crabs claw. After I complained about FMR (see post), I remembered that they do have a recipe for tetracycline for illness, injury. It seems a relatively simple formula that can be purchased to make at home and you can purchase the capsules from Pet Smart in the fish ...

In memory of Tiny

Bless her heart she tried but in the end the PPS was just too much for her. She had a warm home, good food and water with peace and quiet for her final days. We were together for a week. I'll miss my little Tiny one.

You might be a Hermit Crab addict if . . .

**you find more satisfaction talking to your crabs than to people.**at a restaurant you have a take home box for the dogs.....and the crabs**if you spend more than 3 hours a day "researching" toys for your crabs
