No,wondered then same thing when I was purchasing. But as soon as i recieved mine I boiled for around 10 min and tryed poking at it to remove any hidden coating and nothing came off.

Check out MyGann on Amazon etsy ebay and his down store by the same name. I ordered a 2 inch opening Shell but ive seen 2.5 and 2.75 inch openings. Give him a look.

Okay now I see. Currently I have 6 inches of substrate , I know its a little, but Im going to add maybe up to 10 on one side and even it out at 8 since I just acquired 3 E's.
