Re: I guess its offical... an upgrade?

I know I know. Every time I'm just about to snap some photos, something always comes up. Whether its uni, work or family... :/ I'll really try to do it tomorrow after work! :) Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk A wise puppet once said, "do or do not, there is no try." Re: Glass Shell

I haven't because it's not natural. I want the best for my crabs. They alter the inside of their shells to get the perfect fit for them. They chip it away and secrete fluids to get the shell just right. They can't do that with glass. Plus if they chip the glass and eat it, it could seriously harm t...

How often do you buy new shells?

Omg these things are growing like weeds! I just bought a bunch of new shells but I feel like they could even use a few more now! Very gratifying to see but also ever so slightly worrying since all 5 of my 'kids' are already on the large size! They're gonna need their own room pretty soon! Sent from ...

Re: Hermit crab sitting in same position for days??

Where do you buy coral and oyster shells from? I bought some and untreated dried sand dollars and starfish. They are super stinky. When you buy leaf litter how do you know it’s truly safe? Do you get it on Etsy or where from? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I just go out to the woods and scoop u...

Re: Fumes?

Well, really the issue is that I want to set up the new tank before I leave for vacation so the crabs can be in the optimum environment, and the tank will be probably 200+lbs when it's set up so putting it in the bathroom or something won't really be possible. If you guys don't think the crabs can m...

Fumes?

So I'm moving into a new house and am worried about moving my crabs. I've run into a problem: the floors are getting refinished, they were supposed to be done this week but due to some problems they won't get done until the end of the month! The problem is that I have to be out of my old apartment b...

Re: Tank Build Diary

Looks awesome. I'd reccomend adding additional supports to the legs (like more legs) or cutting the legs off. A 65g tank filled with substrate will be heavy, and I think those 4 small legs won't be able to support the tank well. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk I was actually really concerned a...
