Re: Which crabs to move into upgrade

I wouldn't think they would mind. Or if they did, they would eventually adapt and make new friends right? Just like when we move. You definitely should consolidate down to two tanks, three sounds like a pain. I understand your troubles with night vision cameras, I would like to know which crab is a...

Which crabs to move into upgrade

I've asked this before but didn't really get an answer that related to my question. I have 8 crabs (if all are alive, I know 6 are) in a 90gal. Ranging from small to either a large/medium or a small/large. It's not easy to measure them. I also have a 40gb with 6 (if all alive) ranging from small to ...

Re: Need help with ‘furnishing’ crabitat

Lol, crabs are weird, for instance I just cut and peeled some fresh apples and put some pieces in the tank and Josephina looked at me, looked at the apples, and then when straight back to eating a dried up grape that I’ve been unsuccessful from removing from the habitat as she is holding onto it je...

I change my sub every 2-3 months, so this shouldn't be a problem...?
That's really not necessary. In addition to being expensive over time and time consuming. I would think it would also stress the crabs.

Hermits dig. To molt, destress, cool off, fun. But especially with molting it's like a game of whack a mole.

Why walk all the way to the food dish when you can have your snack in a shell that previously had another crabby butt in it? Lol [emoji12]

Re: Hands-off or hands-on? I'd like to bring a thought to the table

Kind of on this topic, occasionally I will get my crabbies out and put them in a small dish tub with a little treat for them to snack on and my female, Shallan, is a complete treat hog! I just watched her with her treat in both claws, tucked under her body, walk the entire length of the tub just to...

They know what they're doing. They can get out when they want. Even parties get tiring.

Any ideas besides cuttlebone and eggsgells?) Does anyone have tips on how to keep tank warm, too? I have one heater on at th...
