Re: Hermit crab digging after molt very unusual for crab

Since Hermy already molted, it's likely she's just destressing from being shuffled around a bit. I wouldn't be too concerned. I rescued my small crab Petunia in Aug and she went under the day I got her. I didn't see her again for 7 weeks. I just wish when I was stressed I could hide under my covers...

Re: Hermit crab digging after molt very unusual for crab

All you can do at this point is wait and see. You should not go digging for him. He could be molting, or he could be destressing, after having already been dug up once. Okay thank you. Little update Hermy came back up this morning and is currently digging in the hay they spilled. Sent from my SM-T5...

Hermit crab digging after molt very unusual for crab

So this going to be very long and slightly confusing. So back when the hurricane hit Florida we evacuated and of course I brought my crabbies. I will have a pick of their travel habitat down below. So they were in that for about a week or slightly less.(I have a really bad memory) So when we got bac...

Re: Hands off?

It is usually best not to handle them. Because they are wild animals and when you handle them they think you are a predator. And good job doing lots of research before getting hermit crabs!

Re: Is 50 dollars a good price for a 29 gallon fish tank?

For where I'm at in Ohio, my rule for used tanks in good to great condition is $1 per gallon with lid. $2 per gallon with stand, lid and lights. If it's near mint and holds water maybe up to $2.50 but then you start getting in new tank kit prices so it tends to be a wash. Thank you! Sent from my SM...

Re: Is 50 dollars a good price for a 29 gallon fish tank?

$50 isn't a bad price for both. If Petco is having the $1 a gallon you are looking at $30 with tax. Their cheap stands are around $35-40. Add another $20 for a glass lid. You are up to around $80 new. I would show up to look at it and offer $35-40. If they won't budge you can go up to full price. U...

Re: Is 50 dollars a good price for a 29 gallon fish tank?

A 29 with stand sounds good. They can keep the gravel. You don't need it unless you plan on crabby crafting with it, but I'd recommend staying away from painted gravel. I don't use it because with them being scavengers I'm afraid they would pick off the paint, eat it and get sick. The price on the ...

Is 50 dollars a good price for a 29 gallon fish tank?

Hello everybody! I need some advice about fish tank prices. There is a 29 gallon fish tank on craigslist in good condition and comes with stand, I think maybe a lid ,and 30 pounds of aquarium gravel. The person is asking for 50 dollars for everything is that a good price? https://uploads.tapatalk-cd...

Re: Can I bleach a tank?

I've found cleaning ammonia to work the best on grimey tanks, and it also sterilizes, but it smells horrendous and you have to be careful about gassing yourself. For really stuck on water spots, dirt, and and dry algae, water and a razor blade works magic. If you scrub with a pad it can scratch the...
