I set up my crabitat towards the end of May. 3 of my 4 crabs went down right away for a molt and came back up about a month later (I posted pics in here. I noticed a knat flying around in my crabitat. Is this normal? Will it hurt the crabs?

I soaked it in a bucket of salt water made with kosher salt for a day or so. Then I baked it in the oven at 200 degrees until it was visibly dry. Making sure to flip it over so the bottom could dry as well. Maybe I didn’t let it dry out enough and that’s why this grew? I’m not sure. I just did what ...

I brought driftwood home from a trip to Lake Superior. I soaked it in water and kosher salt like I read to use and baked it until the wood was dry. And my wood started to mold within a couple days. Just keep your new tank set up as if it’s got crabs in it. Then as they come up, transfer them. Don’t dig them up.
