I'm still open to adopting one of your crabs, and can meet up, if they're still available. Thanks!

Re: Have 3 PPs who need to be rehomed

Hi there! Were you able to find all of your crabs a new home? If not, I would consider taking them if it's not too far. I'm in southeastern PA, what part of NJ are you in?

Re: Build Diary - The Curio Crab-inet

Well, @Vjsarlo I've thought about it all day, and I couldn't really think of anything that I wish I'd known before I started! Like yourself, I really researched and thought through all scenarios, and when something hasn't quite worked out, I always come up with a Plan B to fix or improve it. So far,...

Re: Build Diary - The Curio Crab-inet

Would you have any other advice for a project similar to this that you wish you knew/ did before you created yours? Also are you happy with the results and how it is holding up compared to a regular tank build? My idea is to take a bookshelf and combine it with a 46 gallon bow front tank so that th...

Re: Build Diary - The Curio Crab-inet

Oops, I was not clear. I meant do you, yourself, have an access door or something to reach in on the lower level? Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk Oh, haha! I see! Yes! So the door to access the entire crabinet is on the right. To keep the substrate in, I siliconed in a sheet of plexiglass in f...

Do you have a way to access the substrate level?

Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Yep! All of the levels are connected by either Reptivine or cholla branches. I've got someone down there molting right now.

Re: Build Diary - The Curio Crab-inet

Hey! First this looks amazing! What you did is inspiring! I am actually in the process of doing something similar to this and am in the planning phase. What did you do to seal the inside of the cabinet? Did you have to cover the wood with anything special and only seal the edges with epoxy? And als...

Re: NJ, PA Adopters

CHESTER/MONTGOMERY COUNTY BETWEEN PHILADELPHIA & READING I'm willing to travel about an hour away, but I could be convinced to travel a bit farther. I'd also be able to travel to central PA around the Williamsport area, as I frequently visit the area for family. I have a 58g converted curio cabinet...

Re: Build Diary - The Curio Crab-inet

Another cork level, this time with a tupperware of salt water. The reptivine attaches to the wall at the base of the next hole in the back right corner. A piece of cholla wood connects that level down to the moulting level. That's it! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200415/e0eaf9c5c82ef3653f058b5...
