Re: I think my crabs ate a blue spotted salamander!?

Oh gosh.... that seems crazy. I guess there’s nothing you can do about it now except watch your crabs for strange behaviors. If it’s true, then r.i.p little salamander :(

Re: I THINK THERE IS A MUSHROOM GROWING?

In theory, if the mushroom isn't poisonous, could it be left in there for the crabs to eat? I'm not great at telling mushrooms apart tho. I know if it's in the grocery store it's safe, and that's about it lol! [emoji4] Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk I was actually wondering about this....

Re: Crab might be eating another crab??

EDIT: I forced myself to check and thank the gods he isn't being eaten alive. The tunneler kind of veered away from the molter, scratching sounds are coming from him digging around.

Crab might be eating another crab??

Hey guys, this is kind of an emergency but it would take forever to fill out the form and it wouldn't help anyway. So currently I have four crabs in my tank, I had a pet sand in a 20gal, and the other three were in the 50gal. The pet sand hatched a week ago and I moved the little guy into the 50gal ...

Re: Cleaning/moving moss pit

My moss pit is about 4-5 inches deep. When I was setting it up, I didn't think any crabs would molt in there, the moss was mostly meant as a snack- but hey, whatever suits their fancies haha Also, even if your moss pit isn't that deep, you should still consider the possibility that crabs might be mo...

Re: Cleaning/moving moss pit

I would be careful. My crabs like to molt in my moss pit. If I were you, I would wait for nighttime to see how many crabs come out of the moss pit on their own- if one or two remain, they're probably just buried, but there's a possibility they are molting. I would pick a day when they all come out o...

SCARSDALE, NY (Westchester County)

Hi! I currently have four crabbies, three PPs and an Ecuadorian, in a 50gal. Have had them for a little over a year! Willing to drive two hours, max, I can also do meet-in-the-middle pickups. Will accept up to four more additions to the fam!

Re: Cleaned Supplies without Using Prime for the Water

I would dechlorinate another bowl of water and then soak them in there. Then air dry.
