Just bought it few weeks ago at Kohl's. I used to have an american harvest, but it was time for a new one. So far I am very happy with it. I have made fruit roll ups, bananas, and just yesterday I dried hot peppers, lemon grass and green onions (put it outside when you are drying onions...). By the ...

Suebee, which brand of Cyclo peeze do you use? I found one online, however it has ethoxyquin as a stabilizer in it. There is one more, but it does not give the ingredients, unless it is completely pure...

You may have a water leak from one of your ponds/dishes. I use part EE and if it gets too wet, it will start smelling badly. You really need to keep an eye on the moisture.
The normal smell of EE is a woodsy/earthy type of smell.

Are the violas in the same tank as the others? And if so, have you had any problems with that?
They are all beautiful!

Same here, all sizes, no issues. It is actually supposed to reduce shell fights, since they all need different size shells.

I think another issue we have to keep in mind on a forum like this is that it is solely written language, which can create misunderstandings. The lack of inflection/ intonation that is found in spoken language can make a huge difference in the way a statement and/ or question are received. If discus...

Everything was reasonably tame until someone mentioned the deleted thread (which I thought we weren't supposed to talk about) and wanted written proof. Why does that make us upset? Because it implies that we are spouting this info with nothing to back it up, it implies that we have no idea what we ...

mamaturtle2000, as far as the research Bob has done goes, I stayed out of the last thread addressing this, but I will repeat what others said back then: I would like for some kind of written information to be presented. I would like to form my own opinion on his findings and not just go off what oth...

I just think that everyone needs to use what they think is best for them and what works for them. I almost dread coming on the boards anymore because of threads like this. They always end up with people getting upset with each other. NONE of us know what is exactly right. We just know what works fo...

I am getting into this discussion now too. I used to be an advocate of 100% EE, switched and added a little Aragonite that was left over from a fish tank, and recently added some sand as well. Honestly, I have not noticed any differences in molting behavior, deaths or anything else for that matter. ...

Go as big as you can from the beginning! It will save a lot of money and remodels later on.
(Speaking from experience, 20, 40, 55, now 90...).
