Re: Molted brevimanus! :D

Ooooh! He's beautiful! I love his coloring & the long antennae. Congrats! Thank you! :D He's my favourite indo, so I'm deeply worried every time he molts. Every time he disappears it feels like forever before he resurfaces, and every time he molts, I'm convinced he will die. I am sooo relie...

Molted brevimanus! :D Edit: Size compared to last molt! :P

I have been SO worried for my beloved Mammas skal - translated to English, his name means "mommy's shell" which I called him after the first shell he changed to, and it came from my boyfriends mom, so... Mammas skal/Mommy's shell. Please, don't tease him, haha. :P Now he has molted again, and ...

Re: I tried feeding Tortoise poop

Now there's one who has answered my ad. ^^ She has russian tortoises (Testudo horsfieldii), so I'll try that. :) It should be fine, right?

Re: I tried feeding Tortoise poop

Do you have any pictures when the crabs are eating? How does tortoise poo look like? I've put out an ad on a swedish reptile forum now, I also want to try this for my hermit crabs. :D Especially since I have had some troubles with my ruggies - they might live longer if fed tortoise poo. :P

Standard protocol is to hatch artemia in seperate containers and then feed the nauplii after gutloading/soaking in SELCON or similar. Less chance to foul the water that way. Also-most of the studies raised the larvae individually in small containers-not necessary-they did it just to keep track of i...

Its sad that a lot of them have died, but it is an incredible experience. Don't give up hope on the remaining 20-30, you're half way there to having them a month. Sunday will be 2 weeks right? I'm happy the remaining ones are still active, that is a good sign, do they seem like they are growing? Yo...

That's great! :P I also have some indos, and one of them is extremely shy. I barely saw him at all the first six months (I've had him for about 1½ year now), but now he is out walking around in the crabitat without having any problems with me watching him - but when I take him out to take some pictu...

That is such an amazing thing to have done! I'm so sorry that they're not making it. :( You gave them a better shot at surviving than most of us could have done. It's really amazing that you got the chance to experience it, even if the outcome isn't they way we all hoped it would be. *hugs* Thank y...

How are the babies? Any updates? I'm sorry I haven't been writing here in a couple of days. :) Some of the babies are still alive and well , but most of them have died. :( So I'm waiting for the remaining ones to die too, though they will probably live for at least another 2-4 days. I don't think t...

Thank you so much for all your hard work finding the answers to all my questions! [smilie=bouquet.gif] The babies are still alive, and are now about 9½ days old. :D I'm feeding them phytoplankton and artemia, though I have no idea if they actually eat the artemia. :confused5: Those tiny little anima...
