Like SG said, it's not appropriate. There are definitely some things that you will be able to use in a new set-up. But other things will need to be changed up ASAP. I think this is just a marketing ploy by the pet store. A cheap way for people to get out of buying Instant Ocean, which is what the crabs need and is as close as they’re going to get to real ocean water. There isn’t really a proper size, as long as they can submerge they are good. You can use tupperware or reusable containers from the grocery store if you want to.
