December Craigslist adoption update!

Hi guys! So with in the last few months, I have adopted 4 new crabs and they have all molted now so I wanted to stop in and say hi! And post their progress! In December, I was informed I could adopt a hermit crab by himself in a 10gallon As my eldest crab had lived on his own , I wanted to take the ...

Darn it, Draco!

Hey guys! Okay, here's the catch: as most of you know I got a new 60 gallon tank for my crabs in December and with the weather warming and the flooring done, I can finally get back to assembling it! My mom is tired of having 3 tanks taking up space, so I've been given a deadline to have the tank up ...

Re: Ecuadorian kind of a jerk......

E's look distinctively different from PP's. Their claws will be smaller -- they won't have the big purple claw, just 2 small ones, and their eyes are bigger where PPs have round eyes, E's have more elongated eyes () < shaped like that as opposed to > o that. Also, they tend to be more brownish if I'...

Re: What are your crabs up to?

Left for a weeklong work trip and when I came back one of my first crabs had finally changed from this horrible shell: http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/16/fc73e85a235edc3627dc389cc51fca1a.jpg To this: http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/16/5473d9f298b4857a6884fa6fc83b93d4.jpg Yay for my ...

Re: dumbest things people have said about your crabs/other p

I know! People are always amazed when I tell them each of my crabs has a very distinct personality...sometimes it's the only way to tell who's who when they're all wearing green turbos  ! Seriously! I think most if not all animals have a distinct personality. It's up to us to take the time to ...

Re: What are your crabs up to?

Next time you need to entertain him while cleaning the tank, just put the old lid in a tote and let him have at it!!!!!! :brave: Seriously! He's got a habit of tank trashing. When he was about a medium, I went out of town and left him with a family friend in a much smaller tank for a few days ( I c...

What are your crabs up to?

Oh my gosh! What a pretty shell! It's gotta be small -- I didn't think they had shells of that style for bigger crabs. What a little rebel! But where's he storing his angel blades, Ryry?! [emoji33] I was woken this morning to Draco, my jumbo, using his claws as scissors to cut apart the wire lid: ht...

Re: Flooring being redone! What to do with tank?

Theyre sanding the floors, then putting down a water based stain, so my mom thinks that there may not be fumes, just dust from the sander. If I cover the tank with plastic wrap and towels, it's only going to last for a week, he will be okay or should I just move him in the tote?

Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing

Mine are getting boiled beef bits from a stew, ( un seasoned ) shrimp, spirulina, rose hips, walnuts, powdered/dried food, krill, and some carrots. Crabinski- mine won't touch veggies either! lol!!
