Re: 90% Humidity!!!!!

First higher humidity won't hurt them. Although you should be careful of mold or flooding. Crabs can stay under months sometimes when they burry so try not to worry. A question? Your sand is warm? Where is your heater? What is your tank temp? Or wjat thermometer or hydrometer do you use? Has it been...

Re: The Shell Removal Experiment

Yeah I think I'll participate as a control. I think there should definitely be another control for a larger colony size as well. I'm excited to see results in a year or so :D Hopefully some more people will be intrested. I get there hesitancy. It is also why I started for a while before posing it o...

Re: Water bowls

I think several on here use plastic. Just make sure the crab can climb out of it. Usually craft mesh or river rocks or shells and branches or any combination would work.

Re: The Shell Removal Experiment

It could be in a way. It would be your choice. And I do realize some people do keep singletons. Yours would be more of a control or if you chose to remove shells you would be able to document intrest or lack there of easier.

Re: The Shell Removal Experiment

For sizing I would like everyone to use these guidelines. Also would anyone volenteer to be a control group. The only thing you would need to do is observe shell intrest and any shell changes or frequency.

Re: The Shell Removal Experiment

Not sure if I'm going to participate yet, but just some advice to help keep this accurate and repeatable, maybe make a standard way for sizing crabs? I know there's some varied opinions on what constitutes what, so maybe stick to one measuring system. And yes, definitely get some control groups. Th...
