Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing

I'm trying some new stuff I got on eBay so tonight it's clover flowers, some leaves, cashews, pumpkin seeds, coconut shavings, a powdered strawberry/calcium treat, dried bugs and, of course lol, worm poop. Then a little dish of applesauce for dessert [emoji3] Zoo mom of 3 cats, a dog, a fish and 3 (...

Re: Flies in the Crabitat

I strapped a bottle with apple cider vinegar and a few drops of dish soap to the side of my tank and it seemed to work pretty well. The fruit fly traps you can buy are all apple cider vinegar. I also saw something on here last night about a combo of beer or juice, the Apple cider vinegar and dish so...

No problem [emoji4] Also, that bag of shells referenced from Jo-Ann fabrics looks kind of awesome for $3.99.

Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing

Nice score on the coffee grinder! I have a Mortar and Pestel, and a coffee grinder for dry stuff and a mini food processor (only holds two cups MAX) for wet. I also make batches of stuff, then put it in mini ice cube trays to freeze then package and label to use throughout the year. The salmon from ...

Re: Question: How to make my humidity gauge stay on the tank

A little bit of double sided tape should do the trick also (that's what was on there when you bought it) once you get the sand off the gauge.

Re: Crabitat Round 2!

Thank you. We have 2 pet store in our area and neither had anything appropriate for shells. I got the best I could out of a walmart craft bag for now in hopes they would be better than the painted shells they are in. I read through the suggest shell type list but honestly it's all Greek to me at th...

Re: New owners: crabitat questions

Sharon the humidity gauge is most likely attached with double sided tape of some sort. Assuming it is, you could use a box cutter or similar straight blade to get it off the glass. Once you have it off, put it in a Tupperware container or ziploc Baggie with a small amount of regular table salt (I us...

Re: What's on today's menu & recipe sharing

I've discovered that a worm poop dish is a constant must lol. I also scored a coffee grinder for $4.50 at goodwill so I'm going to use that to mash some stuff and make some mixes so it's easier for me to feed in moderation.

Re: Where to order good hermie food

You might look on eBay as well. I just won a sample batch of like 80 baggies of all sorts of stuff for $12 and the shipping was free. It has a great variety and will last me quite a while.
