Setting up a fish tank.
I'll have to buffer it. Strong currents tend to push them away. I know. If Comet gets to close to it he gets pushed away.

If you have well water, then this is what you need to look for. I use it and it does work. It removes chlorine, chloramine and heavy metal. If you have a well then odds are if you ever treat it you use bleach which is chlorine. You won't have chloramine, so you won't have ammonia.http://www.walmart....

Yes, that is the other thing I ran across. I watch a video of a guy who used them and he said that usually you can only find them in marine tanks, but they can be used for freshwater as well. It's just not a common practice used in freshwater tanks.

Sure it's not API. I found one for them. I thought they had tap conditioner, but you had to by the ammonia detox. separate. If I remember correctly, they are good about making a bunch of stuff for one purpose and not just combining them.I think I may have seen the Reptisafe before at PetSmart. I'm n...

Hey Crabber, have you ever heard of a UV sterilizer? They are like filters, only they take in water and run it around a UV light and the light kills the bad bacteria in the water, but leaves enough good to keep the tank healthy. It is also suppose to keep the tank water really clear. I heard they we...

Yes it will be fine. If you can, give your parent(s) money before they go to work. [Assuming they work in town?] Have them pick up the stuff for you one their way to or from work. Either print out a picture of the exact item or write down the specific brand and type. Maybe even choose a couple in ca...

Out of curiostity, if you don't mine me asking, why don't you just buy a regular conditioner?[unless this is what the whole post is about] If you happen to have a Walmart around, go to the pet section and get a green bottle of conditioner for reptiles. That one is safe. I believe you can get a big b...

With tap water though, you'll want a specific type of conditioner. One that removes Chlorine, chloramine, ammonia and heavy metals. Most water treating facilities today treat water with chloramine. It is chlorine and ammonia that has been chemically bound together. The conditioner most conditioners ...

They are pretty bad up there. I hear and see some pictures from and admin on HCA. From what I have gathered, around this time if year the weather is just a little bit cooler than here. Low and higher 60's.
