Alaska 2013
I have seen pictures of the scenery from when my aunt went up. Definitely take a large amount of film or a large memory card for your camera.

Tunnel Collapse?
Most likely if the molting pocket will collapse with a soft body crab inside, the crab will fail to harden and die. I had this happen with my last PP. My sub was moist, but surface digging from the straws in the corner cause the pocket to collapse, trapping and killing my crab. If the crab is harden...

I almost picked up the cookies for them too, until I saw that it still had ethoxyquin. Wonder why they didn't redo that as well. Also, I don't know if they would easily be able to eat the cookies. I didn't like how hard they looked. They where like small stones!

Odd Fears/Phobias Number 2!
I thought I was scared if heights until I did rock climbing in KY. That was scary and I haven't been near as cautious since.I am slightly afraid of spiders. I have been getting better because in a way, the crabs kinda look like them. I am able to get close enough to count the eyes, but I won't dare ...

I put some in the box with the new E's and I found one sitting in the dish munching away while I cleaned up the tank for them.

New E's!
Actually, my pp's went as well. The last two where gone to molting accidents. I lost one of my large straws to a molting problem as well. She molted, but didn't shed the exso off. I peeled some off and prayed she would molt again. I iso'ed her and found her dead the next morning. I accidentally found...

New E's!
Though some of you may not know it, I lost all but one of my E's. The E I haven't lost was the streaker I rescued. Funny that he is the one that has stayed with me the longest. So after about a year, I have found E's once again. Saddly they came from Pet Supplies Plus, which is where I got Private a...

I actually doubted that it wouldn't have anything in it that would raise question with me. I just got some as well as a few other things. Guess I will see how the crabs like them tonight.

Foods and 2 years with the crabs
I think parsley is safe for them to eat. Don't quote me on that though. I usually try to stay away from spices. Kale and baby spinach will be your color enhancers as both have ample amount of carotene in them as well as vit. C and good antioxidants. I do believe they can have clementines and the ski...

Is he still acting normal? I have heard of a few rare cases similar to yours. The crabs stayed shelless for about a year before reshelling! And these incidents where with notorious little E's! What was the shell type that he was in previously? Have you offered shells similar to that? For your questio...

Lost another Betta and one is in iso.
I haven't been switching the food lately. I still skip a day and everything has been fine. I did move him to five pellets though. Probably be better if I gave three in the morning and two at night instead of all in one setting.Usually if they are constipated, fasting for about a week will clear it up.

Setting up a fish tank.
Bettas actually need water that is more so from 78-82. Below 75 is too cold for them. He may or may not try to attack the shrimp. It depends on his temperment.

Setting up a fish tank.
I have seen lots of pictures on bettafish.com of people who have done planted tanks. I try to get some ideas from there, but the site has bad lag time because it is overrun with ads. I always welcome and love to see pictures though!!! @ Lisam if, well when I get ready to plant I will definitely try ...

So sorry to hear that! It's so sad when they get themselves stuck and we aren't there to help. And poor Misty. Maybe setting her up in her own part of the tank with dense cover will help. It's stuff to get an old fish and the. You become attached. I like to stay with the ones that are only a few mon...

Setting up a fish tank.
I might hold off on the tank until my birthday on the 13th. I have camp and officer stuff for two weeks. I am planning a trip to TN at the end of July, so I am going to slowly pull back money. I went to the store and did some price matching and have devised where I can get my stuff. I will rack up a...
