I had tried to stir it up, tried to bake it, that was just a huge mess! Had black mold to.. i had it with the sand and e.e. mix . I think I had every s...

Re: Decorating my pal's home

You should always clean anything you buy to put in your crab tank. You don't know if people have sprayed chemicals to clean items, how many grungy hands have touched what you are buying.. I bought a net at either dollar tree or hobby lobby and I washed it with plain hot water..it had dye in it! Turn...

Re: remodeled tank and asking for tips

Well I don't recommend it.. but shhhhh... I tend to take some rocks from the hospital parking lots and boil them and make piles for them to climb or get more fake wood or real wood. If you have issues with real wood molding on bottom from.touching damp substrate set it on slate rock.. get some sturd...

Did you soak your wood in your salt water and dry in the oven? Warm moist conditions will bring out bugs in your wood you didn't know you had..

Re: concerned hermit crab owner

Ahhh sorry..it can take awhile sometimes before illness will hit a crab from poor type of conditions. I have had it happen and others on here to..it can take one thing and sometimes multiple things that will make a crab die..they say oh crabs are hardy pets...when in fact they are delicate creatures...
