If you have your wood down touching the substrate and you notice mold here's a little trick someone came up with..they got those plastic mats people use to make crafts with..you know has all those little squares and people can use them to sew with yarn?? Just cant think of the name..any how they cut...

I have always said.. what works for one crabber May not work for another crabber..

I was just going to say if you had to add this or that just to get 10 gal running and your crabs are going to grow...I would try to find a way to get the other tank going.you will be so much happier with it..it's so much trouble to get a tank started..they are by no means cheap little burgers
