Re: Moisture!

I get moisture on the inside of my tank too but it's only when my house is cooler. Add long as the temp and humidity are correct is the moisture okay?

Re: What is the best heater to use?

I had really good luck with a Flukers medium UTH (11x11) on my 10 gallon. You have to go by the size of the back of the tank and the mat, and not the gallons listed on the package. Those gallons are for use with reptiles, who only need a small basking spot and not an evenly warmed tank. Thank you, ...

Re: What is the best heater to use?

:fyi:: Unfortunately, most UTH brands found in pet shops (i.e., All Living Things, Great Choice, ZooMed) really aren't suitable for crabbing needs as they are designed to provide a warm zone for a lizard, tortoise or snake. When placed under the tank with a small layer of substrate, they do just th...

Re: What is the best heater to use?

The brand is Grreat Choice & on the uth it says 120VAC 60Hz 7W. When i purchased it, it said on the package it was for a 10 gallon aquarium but it doesn't seem to do anything at all. Even from the beginning it only increased the temp in the aquarium a couple degrees. But it was warmer in the room bc...

What is the best heater to use?

I bought an uth that i have stuck to the side of the aquarium but it doesn't seem to do anything. The temp is only at 70. What is the best kind of heater to use that will get my 10 gal aquarium to the ideal temperature and where can I buy it?

Re: How do I get my coco fiber wall to stay up?

Lol I bought different velcro but I'm not sure that it was heavy duty...must not have have been! [WHITE SMILING FACE] I'm thinking I need to get a bigger aquarium, trying heavy duty velcro and adding even more places to hide...in hopes that they will find a new favorite hiding place! Let me know how...

Re: Pale greyish exoskeleton

Well not a cage...it's a glass aquarium. The lid has holes...I can't remember what kind it's called...but i have it almost all covered to keep the humidity in and an opening to let in some fresh air. But thanks to the jerks that sold me 1 lonely crab at the shore last summer, I did originally have t...

Re: How do I get my coco fiber wall to stay up?

I'd love to know as well. My crabs keep ripping the velcro away from the coco fiber bc they like to hang out between the glass and the fiber. It drives me nuts. I just tried putting velcro all the way across the top of it and they still got it off. Anyone else's crabs do this? Sent from my SGH-M919 ...
