Re: Getting glass bottom off

I have a 40B that I tried for hours and hours (4 days actually) at getting the bottom off in one piece. My thoughts were that I could put it back together and use it later if needed... I ended up smasing the bottom out of mine because I got tired of working on it. Glad I did it too! Once I saw how t...

Re: Molting?

I have jumbo's and they usually take 4-6 months. We have someone here (can't remember who) that had a medium stay buried for 8 months.... They orginally thought the worst because he usually took about 2 months to molt. Then one day out of the blue, he just decided to pop up - 8 months later. He did ...

Re: Correct heating method

With these zoomed heaters, tape well too back and side above substrate. Got it. Should all zoomed heaters be toward one side? Cut out a hole in the reflectix so it won't cover the heaters? Will this help keep the heat in? Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk Yes, you would cut a hole in the Reflectix...

Re: Habitat question

Isopods aka rollie pollies... They'll help to eat any leftover foods therefore leaving little to nothing left for the food mites to eat. Doesn't completely get rid of the mites just helps since they'll be competing for food. Food mites are harmless and totally normal in an established tank. Sent fro...

Pics not working for me either.

If you have a smart phone or tablet, try downloading the tapatalk app and uploading pics that way. Many people find it easier using the app.

Re: Double-dish bubbler pics, yo!

Or if your pools are on the bigger side, double dishes help to hold the space/nest when changing the water... Don't have to re-dig the holes every time you remove the pool.
