Trying to get pictures on here
No matter what size, how many pixels, what device I'm on our what I click, I cannot get any pictures to work. It lets me select the picture, then it kicks me out. It's highly aggravating. I'm on tapatalk, but I cannot figure it out on the website either. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20161010/ec2d...

Re: Extra shells
I found a few in North Carolina on the beach, the others I ordered online at several of the stores listed on this website under the shopping resources, and I bought two at pet supplies plus here in PittsburgJust Jay wrote:Where do you all buy your new shells?

New and stressed out...
I posted last night introducing myself, and I just got home from work to find neither of my crabs have moved at all. I don't have enough substrate in there because I did not know how to care for these guys when my parents bought them for my girls. The hardware store was closed so I couldn't get sand...

Re: Scrappy is changing shells constantly
I'm a new crabber too and mine did this for a few days when I added shells. Now one is back in his original shell, the other in one that's way too big for him. Both are now not moving at all and I'm stressed out

Crabs not moving
I have two tanks with two hermits in each. In one, they have not moved around, eaten or drank anything in three days. In the second, the one crab changed shells and has since stopped all activity and is in the same spot. The other one changed shells over and over, guy back in his original shell last...

My first hermit, Gary, well try to inspect the other guy's shell. Is that normal?mool wrote:Crabs think the downward facing shells are occupied so they skip them.

I never see holes
Only been a crabber for a few weeks, and until today only had an inch of substrate. But I have closely watched hermits and have not ever seen holes or either of them dig. Gary is ready to molt and I am adding playsand when i get home from work. Since I spent most of this pay check on supplies and di...

Re: Extra shells
My crabs move my shells around so much, I don't bother with them at all. They are on a reptile hammock as a second level with a big log leading up to it so they can change. Always have 1-2 laying in the sun after each few days... There's no specific way to put shells in, they will turn them, but I'...

Re: New and wondering what's up with this behavior
I am just in the researching stage, so you may want to wait for someone who is experienced on here to answer you but, from what it sounds like your crabs are getting ready to molt. If this is indeed the case you should still put them into seperate molting containers, with moist deep substrate so th...

Extra shells
New crabber here. I have 6 extra shells in there, and both crabs change like crazy. How should I arrange them? Right now I have them with the opening turned upwards and spread out. I saw pictures of extras in a hanging pouch thing. Can they get to them that way? "Judge a man not by his answers, but ...

Re: Got pinched!!!
With as soft as their pinchers look, I thought it wouldn't hurt at all. I'm new at crabbing, so I guess I better be careful

New and wondering what's up with this behavior
I have two crabs in my bedroom, Gary I have had for almost three weeks, the other, who is yet to be named(YTBN), since Thursday. Gary is crazy active, but today he changed shells again and now is lethargic. YTBN is pretty submissive but changes shells like crazy. He changed yesterday has been lethar...

New to this and needs help quick
Hi, I'm Mandi. I've got a total of 4 hermits in my home, two in each 5g tank(and after going thru this forum realize it's too small). They are all about 3 inches when standing. In my oldest daughter's tank there is Athena & Aphrodite. In my youngest daughter's tank we have Gary & one yet to be named...
