Yeah. It's not in the pictures, but it's on the top half, some behind the climbing wall and some sticking out. And once i was able to confirm the bottom was glass on the terrarium, it was decided to make that the top so i wouldn't have to seal off an easy way to get in. Since the crane have moved in...

In regards to the heat lamp and glass lids: it all depends on positioning. I have a double tank, and the actual bulb itself is about 4" away from the glass, so it can heat a wide area without the worry of glass cracking

So the PP i thought may be molting came up and didn't have black tips, so he was either being shy or sneaky. That just means one less crab to worry about before the transition!

Does anyone know of a uth ever melting the top rim of an aquarium? If not, then i have my setup mostly figured out!

Is there any reason i shouldn't put it on the top half, so i can have deeper sub? If i do put it on the top, should i grab an 11 or 6 inch one? Currently i have a high of around 83-84 during the day, then around 75-77 at night because it's only the moon bulb and a small uth

Is there a guide here on UTHs so i can get a good kind? Also, since where they are now is the basement that gets no light at night, should i have a weak moon bulb on at night?

Based off this, considering an average household temperature of 68-70, would it be wiser to make a stand to keep the hood off the glass, or buy UTHs that will work around the joint and pop a cfl or led or 2 in the fixtures? If it would lead to more stable temperatures, the third light is designed to...
