Re: Beach items to feed?
My concern would be that you "don't think" that fertilizers and pesticides are used in the area. You need to know for sure. If you find out that they are not, the sea grape leaves would be great. My crabs love them! Mine love both fresh and dried. Please know that if you are using a public area, I ...

Beach items to feed?
Hello everyone! So I go to school that's located right off a bay, so I visit a small beach that leads directly to the bay in my spare time. Given that I live in Florida there are plenty of mangroves, sea grape trees, tiny shells and bivalve shells. The area is well visited by marine life, and I don'...

Re: Finally redecorated the tank!
Thank you! I have a 29G tank, and got the shells from Naples Sea Shell Company, I believe! [emoji3]Crabby61 wrote:Really like the look of the tank. May I ask what size it is. Also where did you get your shells.

Re: Instant Ocean not dissolving
Oh wow, interesting. I don't allow the undissolved salt into their pools either, just the water. The crabs seem completely fine, so I guess I shouldn't worry so much. I'll switch to storing my salt in an airtight container too.

Re: Instant Ocean not dissolving
The salt is still soft. Some small bits have hardened but it isn't too concerning..Maybe those bits are what's not dissolving at the bottom? I keep the salt sealed well and I store it in a cool dry spot, so I'm not sure how moisture got in.

Instant Ocean not dissolving
Hi! So I've noticed lately that there's been a small quantity of salt at the bottom of the jug I prepare my water in. I make one gallon at a time. I treat the water first with conditioner, then add the correct amount of salt as stated in the instructions of the instant ocean box (1/2 cup). The major...

Re: Just want to make sure I did the right thing here...
Sounds like your doing similar to what I would do, so I can't say that you're doing it wrong. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Okay that's reassuring! I just don't want to do something that could be detrimental. Hopefully she's able to carry out a successful molt where she is. Thank you JJ! Sen...

Just want to make sure I did the right thing here...
So one of my crabs Tai is assumed to be molting at the moment. Well, upon coming home today I noticed that there was a hole in the sub, big enough to where I could see Tai's shell. The hole is directly under where I keep the grapewood. Kai has been away sleeping so I'm not sure how the top part of t...

Re: chia sprouts and cuttlebones?
Hey yall! So, i've been sprinkling a lot of chia seeds in the tank. I love the look of a chia garden and i want to create one in my tank. Only issue is that they aren't sprouting like the pictures! A few do, some are eaten, and the rest just get moldy. Any suggestions?? also, how long do yall leave...

Another successful molt!
Kai is back from her molt! She's so much bigger and now has slightly different colors. She used to be a lighter shade of purple all over, like lavender, with a hint of blue where her leg segments met the rest of her body. Now she's a darker shade of lavender and purple, the blue is brighter, and she...
