Fumes?

So I'm moving into a new house and am worried about moving my crabs. I've run into a problem: the floors are getting refinished, they were supposed to be done this week but due to some problems they won't get done until the end of the month! The problem is that I have to be out of my old apartment b...

Re: Tank Build Diary

Ah ok. That's good. It's always good to have a qualified opinion! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk I'm still scared though! But my friend said the worst that would happen is that the top would warp. I figure it was worth trying, hopefully if it cant hold the weight it won't just COLLAPSE lol. W...

Re: Tank Build Diary

Looks awesome. I'd reccomend adding additional supports to the legs (like more legs) or cutting the legs off. A 65g tank filled with substrate will be heavy, and I think those 4 small legs won't be able to support the tank well. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk I was actually really concerned a...

Re: Tank Build Diary

So I got the tat stand. I didnt think to take a picture of the tank on the stand so I'm kicking myself about that but I will the next time at at the new house. In the meantime, heres a picture of the "stand". Its a dresser, the tat will go on top (obvs) and I'll keep my crab supplies in the drawers!...

Fake / real stumps?

Hey guys! For my new tat I want to create a realistic forest floor look that includes a tree stump. So far I'm having trouble finding a realistic looking prop and while I'm looking at real wood I think I might not find something that fits the look I'm going for. I found this website that makes reall...

Re: Tank Build Diary

One thing I'm wondering is, maybe it's good to have a temperature differential? In reptile husbandry you usually want one part of the tank to be cooler than the other. I dont really hear anyone talking about this re: hermit crabs but I've always tried to have a cool side in my tat Sent from my SM-G9...

Tank Build Diary

Wow. I dont think it's been quite 2 full years yet but I'm already upgrading. Never thought I'd be building a second tank right now but here I am! The face of crab-addiction lol Just picked up my new tank today and it is perfect. 65 gal, 18 wide, 30 long, 24 tall. Got a glass lid with a joint in the...

Re: Changing sub

Good to know guys. I'm moving and I'm upgrading from a 44 to a 65 at my new place, previously was thinking about taking all the old sub to the new house and now I think I might, if I can move it in a convenient way!

Re: Supplies Wants/Needs

Suggestions: don't go cheap with the Prime. It's good and it works, plus it will last a long time. 2 drops for 1 gallon of water. For decorating, we use hemp & jute threads. You can weave and braid whatever you want! No need to crochet or knit (idk how to do either). Plastic craft mesh and zip ties...

Side by side tanks?

Hi all! I've been toying with the idea of adding a second tank to my set up and somehow connecting it to my current tat. Anyone have any ideas of how I can do this? Do u guys know of anyone who has?
