I want to get a dim night light that would be dark enough that th crabs wouldn’t mind but at the same time I would be able to watch them. What would be a good light mimicking the moonlight that does not heat and can be screwed into a dome fixture?

armadillidium nasatum overpopulate a lot. I had so many in just six months, and then they started going crazy (literally) and died by waves each day till there was a few left
At least I saved a few for my crab tank

I accidentally put shells and a piece of spider wood in water which was not dechlorinated. Should I just leave it out for a few days?

Wow, that must be a small crab. despite how small it is, don’t get worried if it moly’s over two weeks because two weeks is very short

The tank seems to be warm but you may be right. the thermometer usually is 82-88 degrees

Can anyone help me? they barely move at night and I don’t know why. And for the people who asked to see my tank I posted it earlier

I mean just in normal conditions, having the heat mat on the tank lid instead of the side of the tank.

Would you be able to put a heat mat on the lid of a tank and having it be safe? (question for me)
