When I had isopods I need them in a tank alone for the aspect of having them as pets instead of cleaners. I just put 5 in my tank not to breed, just because it’s fun seeing the same ones every now and then

I've never replaced my sand. Smell it. If it doesn't smell bad, I would leave it. I don't even mix my sand up. I just add a little bit every so often because it settles. To each's own though :) When I had to dig up my deceased PP I noticed the tank definitely was flooded and had a bacterial bloom. ...

I noticed in the bucket you kept hem in there are crab legs. Am I missing something?

Started in 2004 with one PP and by 2007 had gone from a 10G to 20G to 75G. By that point I had nearly 40 crabs of three species. Now, I’ve just recently got back in it and my kids like them so I’ll probably stick with it this time.

Wow! I would love to have 40 crabs and a giant tank lol

Was considering whether to put this in Crab Behaviors or here, but the main point is that I got a new white LED light. Ever since, my crabs have been more active, but only active until like 12 at night. Then they come back out at like 7 am when the lights turn on. Its pretty weird, but is it problem...

For some reason my hermits have become very sick at one point when I found a dead moth in the water. It scared me because they didn't, or barely moved for few days straight. Eventually they recovered. I don't know for sure what caused it, the moth or something else

How did you attach the egg crate to the tank wall?

Really anything at petco or pet smart which looks nice. from plastic plants to structures

Title. Should I just go to a gardening store or something like home depot and look for natural worm castings, or should I find one for specifically pets?
