Measuring shells (pics)
Am I measuring these shells correctly? I'm not sure which way to measure. I need to get the right sizes for my crabs. Right now, if I'm measuring correctly, all of my PPs are in 1inch turbos. Here's some spare shells for picture purposes to ensure I'm measuring correctly. https://uploads.tapatalk-cd...

Re: Tank Build Diary
So I got the tat stand. I didnt think to take a picture of the tank on the stand so I'm kicking myself about that but I will the next time at at the new house. In the meantime, heres a picture of the "stand". Its a dresser, the tat will go on top (obvs) and I'll keep my crab supplies in the drawers...

Re: PPs and Es pools
Check out Cholla Queens presentation from crab con. I had links posted to it in a few topics. It really made me rethink my pool set up. It goes into how she saw the crabs tip toeing at the waters edge but not really going in. After experimenting she went bioactive with her water and saw a huge incr...

Re: PPs and Es pools
Same here, I've got Tupperware bowls that are so boring. I'd love to utilize the space I have in this 80 to the best crabitat I can, so I was thinking of using critter keepers as pools....

PPs and Es pools
Hey y'all! I see so many with these awesome pools for their crabitats. I'm so jelly! [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7] I just have access to PPs and Es, and I barely ever see them in the water. Of course the pools get dirty, but I've actually never seen them fully submerge. Is it worth me going all out for c...

Dry top layer?
Does anyone else have the "issue" where the top layer all across the tank about 2CM deep is dry, but the rest of the sub is okay? If I do the pencil test, it all holds firm except the top little bit spills into the hole. I've attached a photo to help give a visual. The lighter part at the top is dry...

Re: I HAVE ZOEA!!!!!
I still have them! I've just been busy! I also purchased all new stuff to prepare a new kriesel this year. The huge decor bowls I used last year are working fine, but I'm hoping the kriesel will be less work! :hlol: Yay!!! So happy for you!!!! You've got this! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk

Thanks y'all!
Do you think bigger air stones would help? right now I have the small ones that are like 2 for $1 at Walmart.

Sebastian update!
Hey y'all! As you may remember, Sebastian was attacked earlier this year. I had him in an ISO tote since, letting him molt and recover. Well, he molted about 3 times, and he's grown his pincher back and it's almost back to the size it was before! I tried adding him into the 80 with the rest a little...

Humidity and dried sub
Hey y'all! I've been noticing lately that the top half inch of my sub is dry. if I do the pencil test, it holds except a little at the top falls in. I'm reading high 70s to low 80s in humidity and the temp stays between 79 and 83F. I have zero condensation on the glass, which I used to have a lot in...
