The others are perfectly fine, just for some reason molters keep appearing above ground before they are finished

Are Sand Dollars in any way useful nutrition wise for the crabs? I have some and I'm unsure if it's safe to use.

Hooray! My guys have been under for a couple months, and I'll be returning home Sunday with new shells for my big guys, including him. Hopefully they'll all be up when I return so I can tell which crab I'm missing.
(I apologize if the last bit was sad.)

It depends on how large your tank is to tell if you can add another crab in or not. My guys are often times alone for a period of time while the others are down, and they're usually fine.

I'd say it's some kind of insulation or heat pad. I have heat insulation tape around the sides of my tank
