Re: Harry changed shells again!
When I got Harry he was in a tiny shell. Soon later he changed into a shell twice the size of his original one. He has changed a billion times since then but then he settled on his favorite green turbo. Since Hagrid sadly died two weeks ago I put in his old shell today. Harry changed into it half a...

Re: Green turbo
I just recieved some green turbo shells for my 2 little guys (that are molting right now). I was just wondering if anybody else has green turbo shells and if their crabs like them or not. Both my little fellas are buried right now so I haven't had the chance to see them fiddle with the shells yet. ...

Re: Freshly Molted Crab Dug Out
An Update: Chella is back up, so it's Chella, Ozark, and Siam up. This means the crab that died was one of my very first two, Koa or Moja.

Re: Freshly Molted Crab Dug Out
I am so sorry for your loss. [emoji22] I’m not 100% sure about this but I wouldn’t leave him in there just incase it gives them “a taste” of eating other hermit crabs. I really don’t know the correct answer for that and I do understand that they probably do that in the wild but being that they are ...

Re: Freshly Molted Crab Dug Out
I really want to identify what crab it is, but since I had 3 down at once, I won't know until they /hopefully/ resurface.

Re: Freshly Molted Crab Dug Out
I am so sorry that your crab passed away. It's hard to tell what happened....whether it passed away while molting and then someone dug him up, or if someone came across him and killed him. It looks like your conditions are really good. I am pretty sure your sub is sand castle consistency from other...

Freshly Molted Crab Dug Out
Hello everyone. All was well until just today. I opened the tank for maintenance and found a still soft, pale, hairless crab's body with Siam eating it. The only two that are up are Ozark and Siam, and Siam is way too small to carry a crab of that size, and the others are molting so it was most like...

Re: I have never seen this before
That's strange... I didn't think they could stay under that long, especially since their gills are meant for land!

Re: Isopod count?
I don't know if my crabs are keeping the ones I've added in check, but there are fewer in my tank and I've even caught a crab picking at and eating an isopod.

Re: Buy it, or no? Help me
Hello there! I want something better for my crabs, now my crabitat is aquarium 60x30x30cm, with wood cover. Now, I have a chance to buy a $ 35 terarium including lighting and useful decorations. it's a redesigned wardrobe on the terrarium for the chameleon (homemade), the inside of the wardrobe is ...

Re: Too Crowded?
No problem! Darn it the shells are expensive when the crabs get big! I spent $12.50 each on the last two shells, and Sonny doesn't like either one of them! $12.50 on two shells? Aw jeez.. Also, large shells don't come in large bulks like smaller shells do either.. 5 PPs: Koa, Moja, Siam, Chella, an...

Re: Crab breaks load bearing stick
LOL, do you think he may have been picking at the supports? I just imagine a crab picking at the supports and suddenly, wow magical shells! And he decided to take advantage of the opportunity. [emoji23]
