Re: Sick crab

Iso is 83% humidity and 73 degrees. Main tank is 89% humidity and 80 degrees. There’s not enough room for the iso in the main tank. I’m tempted to just put him in the main tank and see how he does now. Is that awful of me? I don’t want to hurt my other crabs, but my gut says that whatever was going ...

Re: Sick crab

I don’t know if there is a problem anymore? I don’t know how to tell if he’s still sick. He is lethargic and not eating much if any, but that could be because his temp is lower than the regular tank because iso has just little warmers instead of good heaters. He’s not doing the staring out of iso an...

Re: Sick crab

Ok so Seewee’s last bath is tonight and I’m nervous. He seems to be enjoying the baths but stays in his cave most the day and night as far as I can tell. His food looks untouched but there’s been a sudden increase in saltwater consumption and he’s not staring out the side of the iso anymore. Yester...

Re: I accidentally brought a foreign creature home!

I’m sorry that you weren’t able to save them... but remember this weight isn’t completely on your shoulders. I’m sorry that your Grandma wasn’t willing to help you get what you needed. I’m sure next time you’ll check shells super carefully before leaving the beach. Learning from mistakes is a hard p...

Re: Flooding Issues

It would be helpful for you to fill out the template so we can help better. Are any crabs down molting? What’s hit current humidity reading? Any recent changes in external conditions? In the meantime, I would suggest airing it out a bit by removing some of the foil around the lamp. Sent from my iPho...

Re: Sick crab

Ok thanks, making a fresh batch now. Might need to start using the fresh batch in the morning though since it’s late and I have tired kiddos under my feet

Re: Sick crab

Follow up question. The journal & recipe say it’s good for 48 hours refrigerated. I only used half for his bath, could I use the untouched half (refrigerated) for the last 2 days of treatment or do I need to remake it fresh?

Re: Pest Control

I have no idea but I would think you’d need to confine the geckos in a tank instead of letting them roam from for some time. I’d call the pest control company and go up the chain telling them it’s s hazard in your home and you NEED to talk to the guy who sprayed so you know where he sprayed. I’d als...

Re: Sick crab

New question: I know the article says don’t get it in the shell because it’s not needed or do it too deep because it’s sticky for their breathing, but I originally made it too deep and when I removed him to pour some out he went crazy trying to climb out of his shell into the bath. See photos. Is th...
