Our Crazy Crabby Caravan Caper 1/12/19
I’m so glad you two are adopting all these crabs. They’re going to such a great home. [emoji24] Happy they’re all looking in good shape! I’m also glad the snow storm hasn’t hit over there yet! I figured it was going to snow in PA and VA today! We’ve gotten 5.5” so far and at least another 12-16 hour...

Re: Store Review- ChollaQueen (Etsy)
I ordered a few items from her based off this review and they just came in today! I ordered an 18” piece of cholla wood. I love it, but it was kind of pricey. I really need like 4 more pieces for what I’m wanting to do. I also ordered a color boosting tropical flavor pack, purple sweet potato powder...

Re: Recommendation for amount of substrate
When I started out I used just 6 inches in both of my tanks, but once it settled it ended up only being 3 1/2”-4”. Personally, I like my tanks to have at least 10” once they settle, so I usually fill it up about half of the tank with substrate.

New Ultratherm design?
Yep! I’ve ordered from both reptile basics and the bean farm. My one for my 40 gallon from reptile basics looks just like that, while my 75 gallon from the bean farm is striped. They’re both great and I don’t notice a difference.

Re: Molting Again?
This is perfectly normally! A lot of crabs that come from not so great conditions will often pull back to back molts [emoji846] and depending on the size of the crabs, they may molt more often. I have 2 Ecuadorians that I adopted in October that molted for a month or so and they went down again the ...

I love that calendar, I’ve been searching for a hermit crab calendar for next year but I’m not having any luck! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181227/2fab5cb525a647baa86f1e70f9ebaa56.jpg My grandma gave me this ornament for Christmas! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181227/94eab7d0004b1b25410...

Re: Isopods Devouring Crabs Food!
My isopods carry off puffed rice from my food dish and they always seem to devour minnows before the crabs get to them. I don’t worry about it, there’s always plenty of food in the tank. [emoji1743][emoji3601] I don’t know if raising the food dish would actually help either! I have a second level s...

Re: moving with molting crabs
You can buy sphagnum moss at almost any hardware store, you just want to make sure it doesn’t say “peat” on it. [emoji846]

Re: leftover food- wasted
I don’t normally have a ton of leftovers because I’ve cut back on how much I feed and started changing food dishes daily, but what I do have leftover I normally dump on the sub. Either the crabs eat it or the isopods do because it’s always gone within a day or two. [emoji846] Sent from my iPhone usi...

It’s neat! Kind of looks like it could be a cat faced spider, but I’m not entirely sure.

I love these dishes [emoji7] I’ve ordered two now. They really help with telling which foods the crabs like and don’t like!
