I just put my first order in! I’ve tried other shops and occasionally bought a few things here and there. I just got to looking at her shop tonight and definitely went a little overboard ordering things [emoji51][emoji28] Can’t wait until it gets here!

Re: Question about using net.
My crabs hang out at the top of my tank on the net all the time. No one has ever been stuck [emoji846]

Re: Good places to get shells?
I get my shells from Naples Sea Shell Company. I normally just order the assorted small turbos and the assorted large turbos because I have crabs from tiny to large, so they always fit at least one crab lol. [emoji846]

Re: Newly adopted
Thank you! Hermit crabs are definitely addicting [emoji23] I’m always finding myself wanting to adopt more, but I’m definitely at full capacity between two tanks.

Re: Newly adopted
I have never used any lights in my tank. The natural daylight cycle from the window in the room is all the light they get in my tank, and I have had Sonny and Cher for almost 8 years now! Be sure to read through the crab care sheets on this site, there's lots of good info there. Is your substrate a...

Newly adopted
I adopted 4 crabs today and also received everything from the previous owner’s crabitat. [emoji846] Got them home and all set up: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180825/0725cb89958af5039a7d83540de7595b.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180825/02a59d802b0f9105e2d1100630af45ee.jpg https://uplo...
Dead crab
A few weeks ago I found one of my crabs had died. He presumably went down for a molt and something went wrong. It would have been his first molt since I got him. My tank is set up to standards and I feed a variety of fresh food and mixes. I have dechlorinated fresh water and marine salt water availa...

Re: Finished (?) crabitat
The food dish came from earthwaterfirestudio on Etsy! She makes very cute pet friendly food dishes.fandt94 wrote:Love it! Question, where did you get the food dish and the gauge (and what brand?)
The gauge is an AcuRite brand. I got it off Amazon for $7.99 or so.

Re: Finished (?) crabitat
I for the life of me can not get the gauge to hang anywhere in the tank. I’ve tried just about everything so I figured for right now sitting on top of the coco hut would work! No ones knocked it over yet. I absolutely love those food dishes. They’re so cute and definitely help figuring out what the ...

Finished (?) crabitat
I rearranged today and think I’m finally done with my crabitat. [emoji846] Id really like any suggestions or critiques anyone has to offer! *My substrate is 6”-7” (a little higher on one side. Whoops!” I know I’ll have to add more when my crabs get bigger but they’re all pretty small right now and t...

Hangin’ out
I recently put up some net in the back of my tank and was starting to lose hope in my crabs ever using it, but I found Joe hanging out up tonight. [emoji51] *Sorry for the bad picture I was excited [emoji23] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180730/26749b4e8e2aaebf855092eca32569ee.jpg And he didn’t...

Re: I messed up
How long should I leave him in isolation? He seems to be doing great. He’s out and about every night and eating a ton
I don’t want to keep him isolated too long, but I also don’t want to rush it and move him to the big tank.
