Re: Naked crab won't go in shell
You may need to help her go in by guiding her abdomen into a shell. Please fill out the emergency template here viewtopic.php?f=27&t=46102
But, either than that it sounds like your doing the right thing!
I'm hoping for the best and sending luck you way!

Re: New Crabs Hiding
I know I'm late, but I would like to give you the extra reassurance that your crabs are fine. They're either molting or destressing. Either way, NEVER dig up a crab unless there is an emergency like solientgringa said. It could prove fatal to your crabs if you dig them up. But your a new owner, so d...

Wode is right. I once had a pp who was super tiny (stefanio). He was nearly white with orange tips on his legs and a pale blue pincher.

Re: Pinterest idea that actually worked!
I did this with a moss pit! But one day when I was rearranging my tank, it fell and cracked. I decided I didn't want the sharp end where a piece broke off exposed to my crabs, so I threw it away.

Re: New dilemma
Crabs normally drop limbs out of stress. You should continue feeding him calcium and protein filled foods. He will probably have to be hand fed. Just cross your fingers and hope for the best. Let's also wait for a Mod or Admin because they are the most experienced out of us. Hoping your little guy p...

I understand your concern. I'm going to wait for someone with a little more knowledge to respond. It may be nothing, crabs can be a little silly sometimes! Maybe include a picture too?

Re: Pale PP post-molt
This is perfectly normal. Crabs will sometimes change color after molting. There's been people on her who's crab's color changed drastically after molting. Plus the fact that they are normally a little dull right after molting. I can't really see her that well in the picture oyu gave, can you maybe ...

Good places to get shells?
Hey guys. My tank is in need for some new shells. Not only do my crabs need a couple bigger shells, I'm also thinking of getting one or two more crabs. So right now, I have 12 shells (15 counting the ones my crabs are wearing.) and I'm thinking about getting 10 more. I'm looking for some nice lookin...
