Re: Does botlede drinking water requires conditioner?

Most likely, because different bottled water brands tend to add trace amounts of minerals to their water. I'm hoping someone more experienced in this will step in and help!

Re: Crab Falls Compilation

Haha, that's so cute! It's also reassuring, because I'm always paranoid that mine will fall off of things in my tank and get hurt, but now that I see all of your crabbies getting up and being totally ok I'm less scared. :) I take it if they were that hurt they wouldn’t do it again. I could be wrong...

Re: Hermit crab and cat - how to protect crab

I have two cats and I haven't had any problems within the four months I've had the crabs. One of my cats is fourteen, so she doesn't care, and the other who is three heard them making noises one night, stared intently at them for a while, and lost interest.

Re: My First Post!

Ironically enough, I think I jinxed myself when I said that they couldn't reach the sensors  Today I came home to find Friday climbing the ridge of the tank lid. She made her way to the sensors and climbed around on them for a while. I have a weird setup around the lid rim to keep humidity in u...

Re: Florida Shells and Gifts

No problem! All the shells were round mouth turbos (so if you have Es or other species you'd need other shapes, I think they may make other bundles, but I haven't looked)

Man, it must be so annoying that the crabbies had to molt right before you had to move. We love them but sometimes they just have to drive us crazy.

Re: Crabitat humidity and temp (cold weather)

It's not exactly bubble wrap. It's Duct Insulation, the kind that you would use in your house. You can buy it at pretty much any hardware store. I tape it over the pad that's stuck to the tank. I have a ten gallon ultratherm AND a twenty-thirty one. As for your humidity problems, I can't help you th...

Re: Live Plant Set Up

Do you put the spider plants in a pot in the tank or directly in the sub? I have a few spider plants that are just sitting on our windowsill (like any other potted plant, I guess) that I would love to add. I just hope I have the space.

Really cool! I have a Raspberry Pi camera set up and programed by my dad to take a picture every ten minutes. Your pictures look pretty cool too! Here's a picture that mine took:
