Thank you all so much! This has been incredibly helpful to me, and I am now proud owner of two happy hermit crabs in a (more or less) stable environment!

good news: tank humidity is perfect right now, and it seems to stay good as time goes on.
bad news: tank heat could be better. Current heat is about ~69 degrees.

what do you mean by "sealed"?

I didn't think something thru, and long story short, I need a good, reliable tank humidifier and/or heater. Anyone know where I can find these things? my current fix won't last for ever. Help??

Today I am getting hermit crabs! What should I do on the way home from the store? I assume they will be jumpy? I do not drive so I will be holding them in their carrier. Should I bring snacks for them? What should I feed them? Should I hold them?

I'm getting a pair of hermit crabs and I travel 30-60 minutes about once every few weeks. Will this gradually kill my hermit crabs? Is there any way to have them be more comfortable in road trips?

Also, any special tips for new hermit crab owners?
