Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

Looking good! Loving the update. Thanks! I've been taking my time and enjoying the process. Imo, neos are a good choice. They very hardy, and unlike amanos, self populate so you dont have to worry about replacing them in the future. (Amanos also get large, as your probably aware). Only reason why I...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

With most of the wedding planning out of the way and the cats settling in very well, also knocking over most of the plants and climbing on the crabitats, I finally got more progress. For the lid, I removed the rubber rectangles, cut them in half, and moved them to the corners, minus the end two lids...

Re: Crabitat tank journal

Absolutely amazing! Hope all went well with the adoption and everything else is coming along the way u envisioned it to be! Thanks! I ended up having more decor than expected. Once my larger tank is up and running and I transfer all the crabs over, I'll do a remake with a lot more second floors for...

Re: Need Plexiglass

Your local hardware store should have Plexiglas in different sizes. You'll just need to cut it yourself. Glass is a pretty stock material for lids. Usually, Plexiglas is used as a lower cost item. Plexiglas is lighter (crabs have gotten out before from threads I've read) , and could bow downwards ov...

Looking great! I'm actually quite interested to see what you will end up doing under the tank.

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

These acrylic hinges finally came in from ebay. After looking at the pivot angle, it needs quite a large gap, the diameter of the circle in the middle where it hinges. Although I could replace the shower trim with a corner adhesive bumper... It would look super tacky. Although it was a waste at leas...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

After lots of scraping, it is finally done! It is now time to resume ziptying egg crate with great difficulty as it's already in the tank. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191129/dcaff8b677866bf3eee86cb65ca182a6.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20191129/9fb9392ed907699a0d7bb5689fa9b06d.jpg Sen...

Re: Could my IKEA Dresser Hold a 10g Tank With About 75 ish lbs?

The malm dressers don't give a weight capacity on their website, either because it's too low to look like a good Stat to post, or they haven't tested it. If they didn't test the weight capacity, it's because they don't expect their products to bear any weight. That being said, 75lbs is being, distri...

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

Always.. Scrape away from you when working with silicone. I became complacent and ended up with a nice cut. I didn't have an issue before. This new silicone... Because it's much stronger, it's also harder to remove. Bu they, it's doing what it's supposed to. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

My most lovable kitty decided to use eco fiber as cat litter. How expensive. I didn't even think to cover it when I introduced them to the crab room. Image

Re: Pinchy Palace Journal

OK, so the reason I havent updated on a while is because I got super frustrated and a lot happened in the past few weeks. 1. I got 2 new kitties! Just introduced them to the crab room and they're now exploring everything. 2. I got engaged! I now have a proud fiancee who will be marrying into 2 kitti...
