Shed exo and everything! I had heard crabs molt in groups but come on!! One has finished molting but jus...

Re: Building a multiple tank stand soon, but I have weight questions

A quick Google search has an empty 55 gallon weighing 78 lbs. We have around six 50 lb bags of playsand. 300 lbs. That brings the estimate to 378 lbs. Add in water, crabs, lids and whatever else. You are looking pretty close to 400 lbs probably a little more. I have a 55, with the same amount of sa...

Re: Pleasr help with my hermie situation

Yeah definitely add moss. I would say don't cover the little hole you made with your finger, if he just dug down he will be able to correct that opening. Don't JUST add moss, keep it in some sort or container like a Tupperware bowl turned on it's side. Really any crab safe hidey where they can't bur...

Re: Whole grain rice?

Huh. I love rice cakes but....with lots of salt [emoji1]. If you're confident there's none, I would say it's safe.

Re: Pleasr help with my hermie situation

What makes you think he's molting? Crabs like to dog for fun or just to "get away" if their stressed, which may be the case since you were changing up their little home.

Re: Which crabs to move into upgrade

I wouldn't think they would mind. Or if they did, they would eventually adapt and make new friends right? Just like when we move. You definitely should consolidate down to two tanks, three sounds like a pain. I understand your troubles with night vision cameras, I would like to know which crab is al...

Re: Need help with ‘furnishing’ crabitat

I've found lots of good bigish pieces of Cholla wood on Amazon for cheap. As well as fishnet, drift wood, and natural coconut hides which the crabs do climb on top of. My crabs looooove their corkwood too! Just make sure it has a big enough for your crabs to hide inside if they choose. There's alway...

Re: Party in the coconut hut…?

Psh my crabs don't get inside their coconut hut unless it's filled with moss, but they drag it all out and bury it before morning time lol. Now it's just a climbing toy, their gonna bankrupt me if I try to keep it filled the moss!

Re: Powdered Fruits

I cut them up into small pieces then toss them in a coffee grinder. Once it's like a smoothie I pour the paste into the parchment paper. I need to repeat that process a few times for each item depending on how much I'm making. It isn't bad on a small scale. With this last batch I probably have 30 m...
