Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

How are you making out with your upgrade? I was able to get my 6 bags of sand and egg crate at Lowe's, and the rest of my supplies from Amazon. They even delivered a day earlier than planned. I'm working on filling the tank now and calibrating my new hygrometer. I hope you're doing ok! [emoji847] S...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

Good luck. I'm sure you'll keep us posted. I will as things evolve. Same here in NJ. Was hoping to start tomorrow. Slept all day after long work weekend... now everything closes at 8PM. Curfew from 8PM-5AM here starting today apparently. Haven't gotten to the news yet though. Just getting a lot of t...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

I'm not sure if the sale is going on now. I usually get an email from Petco about it if it is. But I'm planning to use my spare 55 gal and upgrade this week. I'm going to grab the glass tops from That Pet Place. There's 2 of them total since there is a center brace on the top. They're about $36: ht...

Re: $1/gallon sale at Petco

They are doing this again now, aren't they? I have 4 crabs that are all up and in less than a year went from circular death cage to critter carrier to 10G to 20G long... now I'm thinking 55G. My adopted crab is kinda a bully. He was in a small pink/purple shell and was the only pic I received so tho...

Re: Some kind of Aggression!? (pic)

The 360 isn't a pan cam. I do have the wyze pan cam for my living room, dining room. The thing I prefer about the 360 is it's not a square that can just tip a little on an angle. The 360 can be turned and tipped on almost any angle. It's just a little more expensive than the wyze. I know others hav...

Re: Some kind of Aggression!? (pic)

I put my cameras in the tank. I found it difficult to position the wyze cam. But I use now the 360 Smart camera. Much easier to postion. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200302/4bfcf71c8d2a315c56de74f9796e8333.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200302/fc8bb604048cf475f39f42f924f7a483.jpg Sent...

Re: Help with reducing clutter?

Thanks so much for the pictures!!! If this was possible, I'd pay you or anyone with all these great ideas and DIY tricks to just do my upgrade in a few months! Definitely have a lot more ideas though. Really just want to upgrade at this point especially with all crabs up simultaneously. Not sure I'l...

Re: Some kind of Aggression!? (pic)

This is what I'm using... may have been this thread, but posted my crabs completely dissapear from 5AM-6PM. They slowly start moving around 6PM then just party all night. Last night I cleaned and added shells and sprayed the top layer of sand. They were super active all night. And just watching the ...

Re: Finding the poop in the substrate

That's smart! I'm cleaning the tank out this weekend, so that's good. Any thoughts/suggestions on how I clean? Clean tank, wipe out with warm sink water, wipe that out with paper towels. Then for the decor I'm going to - Boil shells/wood and wash out with a paper towel Soak other things in tap wate...

Re: Some kind of Aggression!? (pic)

Laughed out loud at how you broke it up with the mic and they all separated!🤣🤣🤣 Maybe molter forgot he had roomies and was establishing hierarchy again Haha. Imagine being at work in the break room and shouting random noises into your cell phone with coworkers wondering if there's something not qui...

Re: Help with reducing clutter?

Is that black egg crate? I only ever saw white for sale around here. Anyway, here are my general quick thoughts that you can probably get away with pretty easily. For a super simple second level above your coconut hide you could get two Flukers Tension Rods and and run them front to back. Then cut ...

Re: Help with reducing clutter?

OK so, as I thought, not much change overall, but all are currently up. I cleaned and dug up shells, added another almond leaf (they destroyed/ate the two I had a few months ago), sprayed the top layer and around the sides, but here's some pics from today... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200228...

Re: Help with reducing clutter?

I love coming up with ways to add more space. 20 long would be challenging since you don't have much height to begin with. Can you post an updated picture? I'd love to take a crack at some ideas. Absolutely. Will take a picture tomorrow and update this post from the original pics posted as the crab...

Re: Some kind of Aggression!? (pic)

New to crabbies also, and grateful for your post as it helps me know what to look for when determining aggression. I had a similar concern as my littlest crab chirped the other night and I had a concern she may be threatened by a jacking. You're totally not alone in the excitement, either! My husba...
