So I came across these berries today while walking the dog and wondering what they are and if they are safe for the crabs. I'll poke around online to see if I can identify them but y'all know a lot of plants by sight so I figured it could t hurt to ask Image

They look like raspberries or blackberries to me.

Possibly unripe mulberries. Were they on a vine or a tree? Mulberries grow on trees...

Vine/bush...low to the ground and for sure not on a tree. The berries don't seem to have gotten much bigger or changed color in at least several weeks.

Looked online and I'm 99.9% sure they're red raspberries.

Yes they look like raspberries to me as well. They used to grow on my grandparents property all over from dark blue, red/pinkish, to white. My cousins n I used to sit at the bushes n gobble them up when we were little .

Watching the hermit crab channel. Every time he hears a click from the tank he sits mesmerized Image

Mine are too dumb to be afraid lol I have 3 and that one there is intensely interested if there's a crab out of the tank. I have 1 crab that is not deterred by a curious cat so it's pretty funny to watch them

Discovered my first death today. One of the new guys I'd brought home a couple of weeks ago seemed totally dormant...hadn't dug down but hadn't seen any evidence of his shell moving at all for over a week. Decided today to bite the bullet and picked up the shell only to find maggots crawling around inside and no crab. Thinking he might have changed shells without me noticing I gently rinsed the shell out with de chlorinated water and a little piece of crab body came out

Thanks ️ Now I just have to resist the urge to go poking around to find everyone else and see if they are ok.
