Measuring shells (pics)

Post by ciaraalston » Fri Aug 23, 2019 10:43 pm

Am I measuring these shells correctly? I'm not sure which way to measure. I need to get the right sizes for my crabs. Right now, if I'm measuring correctly, all of my PPs are in 1inch turbos.

Here's some spare shells for picture purposes to ensure I'm measuring correctly.

You measure the inside of the opening. And pp's prefer shells with round openings.

Your middle picture is how I measure.

Here is Naples guide on how they measure their shells.
