Hi, again .. I know I read about others digging for the molters ... I know this is frowned upon ... I'm wondering what are healing food and any advice that can be given is very much appreciated... just worried.... have asked alot of the same questions past couple months .. sorry for any bad feelings or whatever .. worried about my crabbie .. alil scarred and worried if anyone can understand.... ok ... wellp!

Is everything alright? Healing foods are those such as honey, worm castings, cuttlebone, and peanut butter (no salt). I think for your situation digging would be a good idea. I usually work at an angle when digging (I had to do this due to a bacterial bloom before) and if I find a molter I scoop them and the substrate around them up using a spoon (along with their exoskeleton) and put them in a Tupperware container for ISO.

Um ya I dug and found exo skeleton .. so .. at some point he molted but no crab ...looked like a healthy molt so hurts alittle more ... so he must of escaped some how .... so kinda sad.... was hitting my 1 yr mark .. kinda haunting me know that I know .... I'd like to get another asap !! I have a different cage ! Better lid guess !

Where are you from? Check the adoption pages for another, or even a pair. Don’t take it hard on yourself, it’s an accident. I tape my lids down just to be safe, I’ve had one climb out of mine before. Luckily he was on the other side of the room, I heard him scratching at the dresser. Maybe set some food out, he could be hiding in your house somewhere.
