How about sand dollars? I read that it's a good source of calcium. Is there anything you need to do to sterilize it before feeding them?

Does the same go for cuttlebone? Or can you put the cuttle bone in the tank straight out of the package

Straight out of the package. At least I have. Actually never thought about it. But I think it would dissolve.
