yummmmmmy :D

We (they) had Kale (always a hit with both crab and Isopod alike!)
Poop- of all sorts
Chicken breast- I totally over cooked it so it was rather stringy  I dont think they are particular though (thank goodness)
blackberry's
strawberry tops
one slice of a Cutie Orange (these crabs love them an orange!)
and super large chunks of coconut meat- which I later found dragged into every hidey spot.
as well as a clam shell side of meal worms... blah... (isopods devour these too)
Be yourself, everyone else is already taken (Oscar Wilde)

Tonight the crabs had exactly what we had for dinner, but before seasoning. They got orange roughy, broccoli, and a rice medley from Trader Joes that they love.

Today is stinky food day.

First course: Dried bell peppers and leftover, I mean lightly eaten seabass.

Second Course: Dried rose petals and some marigold flowers with a bit of quinoa on top.

Main Meal: Dried strawberries, dried apples and some smelly freeze dried plankton.

Dessert: Popcorn with honey drizzle and a few crabbie cookies (homemade)
Current hermits: About 17 PPs and 3 straws (for now)
A 180-ish gallon tank with two 36 gallon extenstions!
What can I say? I love crabs!

Since mine are becoming voracious pigs all of a sudden, I'm going to try something they wouldn't touch before. Chicken livers (boy do they stink after a day). Also giving them an apple slice, celery leaves, and some crushed walnuts and almonds.

Ill play:

Cracked a fresh coconut in half then put banana, green/brown/red seaweed, and silversides in that half, then in the tank it went. Wait 30 after light out and watch the swarm dig in
You said it didn't bite!.........Well..........It didn't bite me.

Today was mold clean out day... the crabs brought the whole tuna crabby "maki" roll under and it reeks. Today is red food day. Beets, carrots, beet leaves, parsley, kale, and beet juice soaked chicken. My crabs LOVE beets today.

Just wondering, where do you get the seaweed? Do you have to go to a beach, or do you buy it from somewhere?! I've wanted to try seaweed fro awhile, but I don't know where to get it :?

hermilover - You can buy sheet seaweed for sushi. Make sure it is just seaweed, not roasted..

Todays dish (mostly dry, dry food - no mites): BANANAS, APPLES, SEAWEED, AND some CARROTS. sorry for caps.. :|

Tonight is fish, eggshells, dandelion, carrot, and sweet potatoe. I looked in and the dish was flipped over, and not to my surprise vulcan has come up from his molt. So the two E buddies are back in action while the third one is molting. I always know Vulcan is around when half the water in the dishes disappears. He is a medium but I swear carries as much shell water as a jumbo.

i need to change out the food before i head to bed not sure what it'll be yet today. but yesterday i gave them some boiled egg, the dry mix i made plus bloodworms, and i tossed in a couple shrimp tails since i have another molter up. all 3 crabs were gunning for the same shrimp tail and it looked like a fight was about to break out lol so i threw in a few more. there is now shredded bits of shrimp exo all over the tank. i even caught Spongebob huddling in the cocohut with one of the tails lol. and of course someone rolled around in the egg so there's bits of that everywhere. i'll have fun cleaning up the tank *sigh*
i'll probably do more tails tonight since it was so popular lol, dry mix, and oh i dunno maybe some pork and some sweet potato

Finally got my my hands on some fresh coconut. I'm pretty sure this is the only food that has brought every crab out of their hiding place :)
