Okay so a curious question.
I own a very well maintained fish tank and control everything that goes in it from the fish to the food. I never have mysterious deaths unless you can lengthen it to old age. I also know dead fish wash ashore and hermit crabs eat them.

So if a fish were to die from my aquarium would it be a safe treat for my crabs.

And I am talking like this might happen to me once a year or two. Usually i burry the small things in my garden pots for a bit of nutrient for the plants, But it got me thinking.
Hi, I have been crabbing about 7 now, and these guys have put up alot with my growing pains.

Its a risk, but yes you can. Internal issues can arise and lead ti a subsequent fish death, and can happen rather quickly.
