I personally do not. I find my crabs like picking at it a do not seem to have much problems.

I do grind up things like nuts or split open chicken bones and the like however for them.

Yes I just cut off a section and toss it in. If it is hard, I migjt dice or grind it most vegetables if cooked already are soft. Generally my medium sized crabs dont seem to habe an issue

Thank you again! You’ve been very helpful to me ever since I brought my new crabbies home and I appreciate it! I think my current crabitat is doing ok except I need to add more substrate and more shells but I’m setting up a new larger crabitat and I plan to get it all done before I transfer little guys over

I vary how I put food in. Sometimes I chop it up fine, sometimes leave bigger chunks. Sometimes cooked, sometimes raw. Sometimes dried, sometimes fresh. Just to keep in interesting! LOL!

Pretty much what curly said. Switching up how you give foods will make it interesting for them. I wave found that they may eat it chopped but not whole, or vise versa.

The main thing you have to remember is they can modify their shells by pinching them. They can pretty much pick anything apart if they really want to.
