Small update: we added a tad bit of height n play...was feeling guilty with little guy being so active and nothing to really do!

I thought this was long pieces I could put around the top but it had a suction cup on back n just long pieces hanging from it, when I get suction cups I will have it goin along to top front of that make sense....

8 in of sub will quickly turn into 4. When I upgrade I'm not doing the 5:1 ratio. My second tank was a little more sand than EE and never had a problem with sub drying on me (I do now with the 5:1).

If you use the cork tiles in the same wall as heater... I'm being it will trap your heat outside of the tank!

Gettin 45 gallon setup, many questions.

I'm sorry....Kayedee is it?? I'm not talking about height in sand, were good with 12inches (that's settled over a period of weeks )

We gave our guys height to climb! Vines and moving shells up. Very pleased how it turned out!
N I'm aware that cork tiles over a heater wouldn't be the best idea did I suggest that idea somewhere?

Also I was referring to your first few replies on this post where you said your sub was drying and you were gonna put 8 inches.

Hey Daws! I have so missed you guys!!! And I want to update all the time but it's been busy! Sooo as y'all know my 2 big guys went down Valentines Day...well Crabby (our first crab n sorry he's my favorite as well lol) came up Easter weekend! We call him resurrection crab! Lol Of course our 2nd crab came up right behind him. Totally believe that they do communicate underground though I can't hear the chirping now in the bigger tank like I could in smaller one. Of course the little guy went down like a day or 2 before but when he seen them or heard them moving around he popped right back up!

Crabby up from his molt (Feb.14-April 15th) isn't he pretty?!

Image

Crabby and our smallest guy hanging out with matching shells. But time for Crabby to upgrade.....

Crabby upgrade she'll. Image

He's easy my favorite bc he will streak right in front of you. He's sooo friendly!

And here's our 3rd crab.....which Just bumped up on my list to 2nd favorite after seeing her do this tonight!

Image

Haven't got to do anything new to tank and with them being down wasn't really motivated too and after seeing this crazy climbing action and STOKED to do more!
